I loved this book. Once I started reading it, it was hard to put down. I read on the train into the city and some mornings, I stayed on the train longer just to finish a chapter. The story really should be a movie. And, a hint, the ending leads to a sequel, I'm sure. The characters seem so real and authentic, I could only imagine what they would look like in a movie. Baldacci usually makes you be able to feel the "human-ness" of the characters but somehow I could see every image in this book and really connected with the characters. Can't wait for the next one.
Will Robie, the skilled assassin introduced in Baldacci's "The Innocent," is even more menacing and entertaining in "The Hit." Non-stop action intensifies as "the good guys" assign him to eliminate one of their own - a female killer gone rogue who might be Robie's equal or better. Share the "insider" tricks and treachery of two "top guns" who begin to question their methods and motives. Super "voice" Ron McLarty narrates Robie to perfection.
