3 stories in her series about the Haynes 5 siblings. Pretty good. I especially liked 'the best bride'. You'll probably want to get the other brothers stories too, after you read these.

If you like Susan Mallery's writing then you'll love these three book. They are part of a series so I suggest you read the whole series to fully appreciate the books, plus almost every brother is in every story and it help's to know there story as sometimes it's not explained how they meet their wifes.

Book one The Best Bride is Travis's story
Book two Marrige on Demand is Austin's story(Kind of an adopted brother)
Book three Father in Training is Kyle's story
Book four Part Time Wife is Craig's story
Book five Holly and Mistletoe is Jordan's story
Book Six Husband by the hour is Hannah's story

I just finised tracking down all the book here on PBS and they are all wonderful. Happy reading. :)

I love Susan Mallery and was deeply disappointed with this series. They were just too similar and the characters in the stories, especially the first two were pretty much interchangeable. There are also gaps between the stories if you are into reading things in order, make sure you have the other missing ones from the series first before you get started. It was okay but I expected more out of her. I really wanted to like this series and I'll check out a few more books from it just to see but I really think this collection is a representations of Mallery at her worse.

"The Best Bride" is about Travis and Elizabeth. Sheriff Travis stops Elizabeth for speeding and ends up taking her to the emergency room and caring for Elizabeth's six year old daughter. Travis is caught up in the Haynes curse of never being able to make a relationship work. Elizabeth doesn't want to trust again because of a bad previous marriage. She also has a big secret about her ex-husband. I won't ruin it for you by telling you what it is but when I finally read what it was, I really thought it was no big deal. I had way worse things in my mind. Great intro to Austin and Rebecca's story. I also like Louise's character, the housekeeper. The story was too long and would have been better as a short story. Really nothing much happens but a back and forth of I can't trust and the Haynes curse.

"Father in Training" is about Kyle and Sandy. Like I said above it's pretty much the same thing as the first story but a few more kids involved. By this story, I got pretty much tired of hearing about the Hayes curse. Kyle, for someone with issues about being abandoned, sure doesn't mind Sandy's verbally abusive nature. She brags about being responsible but at the same time blames everyone else. She is also hung up on a bad marriage and is the biggest "B" in the world. She doesn't deserve Kyle and in the end I am almost sad by the happy ending. Seriously if she was a man in this book, she would have been the bad guy.

"Husband by the Hour" is about the half-sister of the Haynes brothers, mothered by Louise (the housekeeper). She was given up for adoption and it's her first time meeting her mother. She, although being a cop, asked a con man (really an undercover cop) to pretend to be her husband to soothe a dying Louise only to find her birth mother is far from dying. Hannah has the same back story as Joe in "Marcelli Bride." They were both raised in foster care because their adoptive parents died in a car accident when they were young. Not sure which came first but reusing back story lost some major points for me. Regardless though this was the better of the three story. The length was fine and it was great to see the whole gang together. I did kind of want the Haynes father to show up. I didn't realize he was still alive.

So overall this series is just mediocre. Mallery has written way better stuff. I've really read a lot of her books and loved all of them. This is the first time I didn't care for something she wrote.

Really enjoyed this series. Only thing I wish is that there were more to explain how each of the brothers decided to give love a chance. Still a good love story that was a page turner.
