Couldn't get into this tale of an aging artist / con man as he tries to accumulate the wherewithal to complete his latest work.
Written 1944, this edition 1965.
Had to read this in high school. The only thing I remember about it was that I HATED IT. HATED IT! I can only recall my loathing of this book, no details.
