When Queen Hatusu, the widow of Pharoah Tuthmosis, carries her people to victory in war, it seems that the gods are smiling on Egypt. But before she can assume her throne, Hatusu will need the acnowledgment of ther critics and the acceptance of her people as their leader. and first Pharoah Queen.

This is book #2 in the series. It has been so long since I read the first book, I had forgotten most of its plot and characters. As such, I didn't take much notice of the author's name when I stated book #2. After going through it in a little over a day, I finished it and thought, "Wow! That was good!" I then looked at the cover again, saw the author's name, and realized why it was so good. P.C. Doherty writes excellent historical mysteries.
