O'Reilly takes a chance on giving her characters real-life difficulties - the extra baggage makes the coming together a little more intense. Good writer - but do not like the fade to black when I'm reading BLAZE.
I guess I just don't get this author's kind of humor. The dialog I'm sure was meant to snappy and fun but it fell flat on my ears. More than once I was left wondering just what in the world are they talking about? The two leads, Ashley and David, are boring and not very sympathetic, and Ashley's sister Valerie is a train wreck. Didn't like this book and don't recommend it, unless you already know you like this authors work.
Did not read this book. The first few pages were just flat so I put it down and never read it again.
I will certainly have to agree with the others who have reviewed this book. This was just flat awful. I had to force myself to finish it. The plot moved along at a snail's pace, the characters were boring, and the subject matter was depressing--divorce, alcoholism, and co-dependency. Who wants to read about that stuff in a romance novel-- especially a Blaze????? Don't waste any money and especially a precious credit on this one.
Not very good...
