Luis, I first read a long time ago, something you wrote in the San Diego Reader and was in awe of your writing. I love first and foremost the well-written word. Wallace Stegner comes to mind. But I emailed you when you were in Colorado and told you how much I was impressed by your writing and we emailed a few times from San Diego to Colorado. I knew you could do it. The book was bringing me tears by the ending pages. Kudos!
