I read this book in 5th grade and couldn't put it down. For me it was very creepy, intense. I remember being home by myself and reading the book while sitting on the couch and knew there was something/someone under the couch waiting for me. Good read for older kids that like a good horror/mystery. I'll never forget it.

If you are a little jumpy, this is a pretty intense book for kids. Make them read it with the lights on. Unless they are the completely fearless type.
