The key sentence in this so-called book is in the Afterword:

This work has several intentions. Firstly, it is designed to defend its authors reputation against allegations reasonably suspected to have been made against him by the hoaxer, whose identity will be recognised only by that class of persons to whom such allegations have been made.

The so-called work may not be hand written or in green ink but it is in effect a Green Ink Letter published by the author as a home made pamphlet. The paranoid delusions and logorrhea are evident throughout this turgid textual tantrum.

It does though have two practical uses: 1) as a live example for students studying psychosis and 2) in the lavatory.
