Very nice, Sarah!
The first drop fell like a kiss against my lower lip. Standing in swelling darkness, I watched the sky. Yellow bolts painted an infinite charcoal canvas, while eerie silence lifted the hair from my neck. With everything around me, I waited. The line of trees bowed to the king wind as it stormed furiously down my empty street. The first hoarse scream of thunder resounded in my head, the heavenly dam burst upon me. And as I raised my arms to the skies, I lifted my drowning face and was filled with crazed and joyous exultation. |
