A shocking rape in the first chapter sets the tone for independent, man-shy anthropologist Alexandra Lane. It's a whirlwind romance over 10 days but there's a lot going on; adventure, blackmail, mystery, sexual awakening, and plenty of secrets. Best of all, there's love between a woman who's found a man she could trust and a man who desires her above all else. I sure did enjoy their journey. 4 stars.
