in Tips for New Members: "If you have books that are in good condition but have some small defect - say, writing in the cover or paperback exchange stamps - go ahead and post it. If someone requests the book, send them a personal message first describing the defect and see if they still want it." |

Mia; go to the Book Bazaar and post your book there, explain the defect and offer your deal. I'm sure you'll get results. BTW: Welcome to PBS!

When you receive a request for a book, there is a small "pm" button on the request (actually, currently there seem to be two: one in the upper right hand corner, and one roughly centered). Press that button to send the PM. |

Oh, oh--I've sent (and received) books with used bookstore stamps inside the cover. I need to be pm'ing people about this before sending them out? What about the ones I receive without first getting a pm? |

Julie: No problem with bookstore or library stamps. Following is from the Help Center (granted, it doesn't specifically include Used Book Store stamps, but it's the same principle). You don't need to PM about these markings.
This is a used-book swapping site; books are not expected to be in like-new condition.

ah, I see the PM button on books that I've already agreed to send... now. I was looking for a way to PM before I committed (because the book didn't meet the sender's conditions). but then I figured out when I _said_ it didn't meet the conditions, I was able to send them a message saying why not, yadda yadda yadda. |

There is no way you can PM BEFORE you agree to send . You have to agree to send first then if you send the PM and they don't want the book, they can cancel the order. |
