Just wanted to know how to make sure a RAOK gets saluted. My first ever RWP book arrived this weekend. I really didn't ask for my credit back since the book was readable, I just couldn't repost it (the infamous cleaved spine). The sender was so apologetic, he even returned the credit even though I didn't ask for it. Just wanted "Ed C" to get appreciation, since I read so many posts about snarky and mean reponses when there is a problem.

I have only marked two books RWAP.  Both people were VERY nice about it.  I only asked for my credit back with one of the books and she returned it with big apologies.  I think part of the thing is...it's all in how you approach the person in the inital contact.  I tried to be as polite as I could in describing the issue.  I follow the old, "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar"  thing and it usually works for me.

I agree with annakanga it is how you originally approach the issue.  The problem is that some times that really nice first email gets ignored until you have to send a more firm one.

You could actually go down to the blue "contact us" link at the bottom of every page, and click on "feedback" and send in your comments as a compliment.  How nice of you to post here!
