Kerrelyn Sparks is one of my favorite authors, and I have loved all of the Love at Stake series. This was one really good, not as funny as some of the others but introducing intense, sensitive main characters with intriguing personal histories. As always, the author handles the sex scenes tactfully without an excess of grimacing and sweat, but with more of an emphasis on romance, physical attraction and respect. Overall, a very likable novel with very likable characters, both the new main characters, and some old favorites.

After searching for his father's killer for over 800 years, Vampire Zoltan Czakvar has found a clue that leads him to a lush valley in the Himalayas. There he finds a group of warrior women who would rather kill a man than trust him. Neona meets Zoltan thinks this man just may be her chance to have a child. She doesn't understand why men can't be trusted and is revolting against all the rules that govern the women. As Zoltan tries to convince the women that he can help them in their fight against Master Han, he realizes that the women are hiding a secret that could change the war.

This was not my favorite book in the series. In fact, I was bored and ended up skimming some parts of it. I thought the humor fell flat and the story felt like a repeat of previous plots. I was surprised by the big secret that the women were keeping, and hope that everything is resolved in the next and last book in the series. My rating: 2.5 Stars.

All I can say is WOW, Zoltan has been on a mission for 800 years, find the person the crated the elaborated carved arrow that killed his father and burned down his village and home. When Russell shows up for his twice a month meeting with Zoltan, Russell has almost exact copy of the arrow he has been looking for answers. When Zoltan asks Russell about the arrow, he clams up and tries to change the subject, or actually runs away for the questions. But Zoltan grab on before Russell telaported to the outside of Tibet. When Russell sees he is not alone he runs away to keep Zoltan off his case but Zoltan is hardheaded and stubborn until he gets what he wants. What he finds when his search comes to an end that their will be a lot of connections to him, his mother and the death of his father, and one two thousand year old young lady names Neona that will change his life to the better and find a few secretes that these warrior woman are protecting and what they mean to him and his vampire nature.

How to Seduce a Vampire (Without Really Trying) by Kerrelyn Sparks
Love at Stake Series Book 15
Zoltan Czakvar has been a vampire for over eight hundred years. His mission in his undead life is to find out why his father was murdered. All he has is the arrow that had killed him. After all this time, he has finally found a new clue, another arrow, which brings him to a warrior princess who considers him a sperm bank.

Neona has a sacred duty to protect their secret valley. Only after her twin sister is killed she is rethinking everything she had been taught for many years. Why are men so hated and untrustworthy? Especially if they come packaged like Zoltan.

Even after fifteen books, the Love at Stake vampire stories continue to entertain, humor and take the reader on breathtaking adventures as they battle for those they love. The reader always gets a glimpse of characters from previous books, which I love. Looking forward to book sixteen, Crouching Tiger Forbidden Vampire.
