We've been having this discussion in the local chapter section - figured I see if someone knew the "real" answer.   The assumption is that when new topics are posted to the topic - you get contacted somehow ( mostly via email?).  Question is - how often do the emails come (every message given, once a day, once a week, only fi any since your last log in, etc?)  Also, is there a certain setting you need to have set to get the emails? 

(Right now, most people who have the topic 'watched" aren't getting anything.  I thought I got one or two messages, but didn't see a pattern why those and not others)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you are supposed to get the email everytime a new post appears in the topic you are watching.  I get about 85% of the emails, which on some topics ammounts to hundreds of emails a week for certain topics. 

If you aren't getting any of the emails you should check your account settings under "Club Communications" and make sure the box next to watched topics is blank, if it has a check mark in it, you won't get the emails. 

When I watch a topic I get emails for maybe the first 24 hours and then nada.

I only get them about 10% of the time!
