Definately worth reading if you are new to the Siamese breed or someone who is looking for information about "old style" Siamese as this book provide pictures of Siamese with very round "apple" shaped heads and also pictures of those Siamese with "wedge" modern heads.

A great book going back 100 years with the Siamese cats. This book traces the last 100 years of the Siamese cat from the royal Court of Siam, where no one but royalty except temple priests could own the Siamese cat, if you did not fit the 2 previous criteria then you received the death penalty, that is how royal teh Siamese cat was. Modern Siamese cat lovers will find that teh Siamese is loyal, smart beyond belief, very faithful to their people and Playful. They have a strong tendency to watch over their humans and growl if they hear outside noises.. They are very wise and gentle breeda constant companion and exceedingly beautiful with their white to tan body, lithe, striking points and beautiful blue eyes. The Siamese cat is part cat, part dog, part monkey and part human.
