Love the first verse!!!
Debbie
In my mind I was a child caressed; stroked and adored, cradled in arms so frequently, the ground was a stranger to my feet. I ran free with wild horses over praries; mane flying in the wind . I hunted with wolves; accepted member of the pack, and flew headfirst into clouds with the eagles. I whispered songs of love and longing so dramatically & with such perfection, that my audience was mesmerized... transported to places only I could take them. I danced, eyes dark and flashing in the light of gypsy campfires; hair black and whipping waist-length round my body. I held court in my salon where all the greats of art and literature wit and wisdom came to share their genius, grateful for my opinion. In my mind... c. 1977 Barbara Gregory (Pearlman) |
