Edited because I misread the question. But, I don't think that would work. The edition of a book with the ISBN is not the same as the edition with the ISBN. In the post a book area of your account there is a link to use to enter books without numbers. Ronda Last Edited on: 9/17/07 1:36 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

No you have to enter them with a new ISBN. From the help center. How do I post a book without an ISBN?When do you need to post a book using the Post Books Without an ISBN feature?
If your book does not match the listing information (title, author, booktype) in the database for the ISBN on the book, it must be posted without an ISBN To post your book without an ISBN:
When you are done, your book will be listed in the database with a customized listing that has a "short ISBN" or "PBS ISBN", which is the 5 or 6 digit number that PBS assigns in place of the ISBN to keep track of the book in the system.
Edited because I can't type. :) Last Edited on: 9/17/07 1:38 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Some people have thought it really doesn't matter and they can do this anyway, since the books are the same, what does it hurt? But when the other person gets your book and it isn't the ISBN they requested, they can and most often do, demand their credit back, and you are in the wrong, so they can do so, and PBS states this in the Help Center. So, it's not a good idea to even try it. |

Thanks for all your help guys I had list them like that but then I thought about what happens when the person gets it and they see that it doesn't have a isb number so I took them off and decided to ask here first so Thanks for your input I will just do it the way they tell you to, it's a bit more work but worth it to obey the rules. Ah, Theresa! I see your name again :) Did you get the one that came up with the wrong binding relisted? Hope it didn't bother you that I PM'd you directly, I try to help others keep the database clean and someone noted to me that you had one that had given you a problem. I hope the instructions I gave you helped. Feel free to write me back with the PM I sent. I try to be helpful when someone has a problem like the one I PM'd you about, and I'd be more than happy to help you with yours! |
