I am brand new today and started posting some of my books.  I found a book in my collection that had a marker line through the ISBN Barcode - both on the back cover and the inside cover - so it was on purpose.  Is this some indication that this is an "illegal book" like one missing the cover?  Or is it ok to post?

I don't see any reason you shouldn't post this.  It's probably been marked out by a retailer at some point so that their scanner couldn't read it and charge full price.

Probably a bargain book.  I've got one of two of them as well and I believe they're fine to post.  Good luck and welcome!

Jill, make sure the ISBN# matches the name of the book and the author when you post it.

If the ISBN is unreadable, you can also find it on the page with the publisher and copyright information.

I think that's how they usually mark bargain books.
