Adult contemporary romance. Not super hot but a good story, memorable heroine which is different. Also characters are older but not old enough to make me feel like I don't want to read about them. Wasn't a keeper for me, though.

This book revolves around Liz Talbot, whose ex-husband dies before changing his will to include the new Mrs. Talbot. The plot centers around the internal changes Liz goes through as she becomes her own woman; improving her financial and love life. Her daughters, the new Mrs. Talbot, her friend, and her mother are all key characters in the book. I was pleasantly surprised with the book. Strangely enough this book was one I'd already checked out at the library months before and then returned without reading. I didn't realize this until I got the book home this time. I recommend this book as a light and pleasant read.

I really enjoyed this book! Of course, I'm dying for some really good bread now - like crazy. I am a little peeved that the author left us hanging on one issue. It was a fun, fast read. I like this almost sub-genre of chick lit. Kind of the answer to Sex In The City for those of us who ain't 22. Feels a little more like real life (although to be fair, not really). It was a little bit sexy, but a lot of laughs. Great beach or airplane read.
