Using very flowery descriptions, Dart-Thornton pulls together a fanciful world in which science allows horses to fly and in which fairies and goblins plague humankind, forcing them to stay in certain well-defended areas.

Interesting books, with overflowery descriptions and a plot that is somewhat short on imagination.

I loved this book and the characters enough to buy the next book. When you read this story you really appreciate what true fantasy is and savor every page.
