Teens find themselves in a bad place in more than one instance. They stick together and end up having to rescue one of their members whose brother has to use his extra abilities to kill a very bad man holding his sister hostage. There are so many threads to the fabric of this story, it would take a page to explain. Great story. I will move right on to the next one. Listened on CD and the reader was terrific.
This is book 2, and you really do need to read book 1. "The Second Ship"
This book is amazing, but it is full of graphic violence, blood, murder and some references to rape, but not described. If this were a movie, I would not be able to watch the blood and creative ways people were killing each other.
Since this book is about well...let just say folks dont die easily, and can heal from injuries, due to a major plot of the book, then it does take some tough violent means to end a life.
I really have enjoyed listening to both books, I did not read them.
I am on book 3, and wait .....then there are more books, but the series name changes.
So highly recommended action novel, if you can handle the violence.
