This is currently the final book in "The Lost Fleet" series as the author tries to wrap up a number of plot lines, but also leaves some open for perhaps another novel later.

Some of the text just seems to be filler, as it really doesn't add much to the main story line. Perhaps this is why I didn't find it as interesting a read as I did the other books in this series of series.

Needless to say, more ships are destroyed in battle and new intelligent species are discovered. At least one species seems addicted to marijuana, as they come across as too cool and easily speak whatever language the fleet is using. But in this book we discover these alien species---while new to us---have been watching us for a very long time.
