I didn't know what to expect with this because since it's about a group of women making a pact to commit adultery, I couldn't imagine I would like it too much. I got it from my library to listen to, and I've gone through most of their stuff so I find myself listening to stuff I wouldn't typically listen to. I am glad I did. It turned out to be very interesting, and I was drawn into the lives of these women. Even though I don't agree with adultery, I found myself relating so much more to these women and their lives and marriages that I expected. The author did a good job of presenting a variety of marriages and women who the story revolves around. Some of the women I had a lot of compassion for and others I thought were shallow and/or coldhearted b****es. The narrator did a super job. She was able to provide a wide variety of voices and accents that made a distinction between characters that made it very easy to follow and pleasant to listen to. Overall, I would recommend this book or in my case, book on CD. It may make you examine your own life and relationships and will certainly keep you captivated and engaged.
