I want to look in the mirror

I want to like what I see

I wish I could stop comparing myself to everybody else

I want to embrase my curves, my hips, my thighs,

Instead I hide behind baggy cloths and a layer of make up

I can't see the beauty he see's in me

I dont' understand why he loves me

I don't have a plan for my life any more

I am a go with the flow kinda of girl now

I just walk through the open doors

I used to have plans of my own

now everything I have is not set in stone

and I am frightful I might fail

Good thoughts, Amanda. One of the hardest things in life is learning to love ourselves. This must be double hard for a woman who finds that about 25% of everything she hears and sees each day is some advertisement for "beauty aids," diets or otherwise altering a supposedly "imperfect" self.

We all have something special about ourselves; we are individuals. Look inside to find the spark that only you have. Give yourself credit. Looks like you have a knack for writing, keep it up. Good for you.
