The five quilted wall hangings in this book were designed to be inspirational for Christians and to be used in the home as well as in churches. The projects use hand and machine applique, and several have a stained-glass appearance created by fusing a narrow bias tape (purchased) over the edge of fabric pieces. Words are added using fusible applique. The projects are as follows: "Stained Glass Inspiration", which shows a centered butterfly surrounded by the words "faith", "hope", "love", and "joy"; "Joy to the World", with a cross having a poinsetta at the center and the words "Joy to the World" in the lower left of the design; "Communion", with a cross and representations of bread and wine; "Star of Light", a stained glass-looking piece which has a golden cross on a silver background, a star, and a heart; and "Peace on Earth", with the central cross partially covered by a dove with an olive branch and the words "Peace on Earth" at the bottom. The individual elements can be re-combined to create your own designs. There are photos and drawings in color, and the pieces to be traced are in black and white. The finished sizes range from 22 1/2" x 22 1/2" to 26" x 35"; however, the wall hangings can be reduced or enlarged as desired.
