I found a pretty cool site which anyone looking for a recommendation should consult.

It's a list, adjusted weekly, of the best in SF/Fantasy, based on voting by anyone who wants to. There's no ballot; voters can vote for anything they like, and they use a diffused average to adjust for accuracy (preventing a book with only 2 votes from shooting to the top of the list immediately).

I plan to begin voting immediately. :)
