hi all - i was in target today and they had Janet's newest edition in the Stephanie Plum series - its on sale and i got a $5 gift card for buying it. so total price was $19.56 for the hardcover! can't wait to read it! i like to support janet too :-) keep the stephanie plum stories coming ! they're so fun! |

I personally think that $27.95 as a retail price is highway robbery. It's not like the book is 500+ pages long. Not that I'd EVER pay $27.95 for any book! I bought the book for my mom, but, I bought it at Border's Express with a 40% off coupon. I also did see it at Costco for just under $16. However, I think it might have been worth it to buy at Target for the gift card alone. <G>

I wish I would've known about the Target deal! I paid $19 for it at Border's. I have to say, it was excellent. I laughed so hard I cried in a few places. |

I'm listening to it right now. It's very good so far, just as all her previous books have been. This is one of my favorite series!! |

Just finished #13. It was hilarious.....however, there were no steamy scenes with either of her "loves". But, still, oh, so funny!! I paid $16.00 at Sam's. Worth it........I just hate for each book to end and waiting for another year or so for #14 is too long. Hope Evanovich keeps Stephanie going to #100!!! WOW! wonder if I'll still be around then.ha.
Guess I'll post this book in a few days.

I agree with Becki about the lack of steamy scenes, there were a few short ones. But still a wonderful book. Love this series and you can't not laugh at Lula! I ordered mine online from BooksAMillion and for the regular price of the book I got this book and two paperbacks with free shipping. |

Stephanie Plum series are the only ones I liked by her. Her other series just don't grab hold like Stephanie Plum series. Has anyone heard anything more about them making a movie out of one of Janet's books? |

just finished and posted the book and it is on its way! they are a fun series! she's very entertaining. i did miss the steaminess of past ones but still enjoyable!

don't you just want the next one to come out so fast after you finish one? and then you realize you have to wait another year!!! i think i got spoiled having 'found' the series so late that i could get thru 1 -10 pretty quickly! then had to wait for 11, 12 and 13! |

My son in law saw Evanovitch on one of the morning shows the other day and she was asked about a movie......she said Miramax has owned the movie rights forever and won't get off their butts to create a movie. Oh well...........it would be great. Did you all read one of the other forums about who people would like to play the characters. The overall pick for Stephanie was Sandra Bullock. I think she's a little too old. I though Marissa Tomei from My Cousin Vinny would be great. Good NJ accent, too. Queen Latiffa for Lula. I think Mark Wahlburg for Morelli..........I cannot come up with a good Ranger. I have him in my mind's eye and can't come up with a good pick. Any thoughts?

Well, I guess I'm the only who has never read her!!!! So, I bought Lean Mean 13 and waiting for it to come in, so I can see what all the hype is about......I will post it when I finish----I read fast :) |
