This novel takes place in Spain, in the early early 1500's. Francisco, an orphaned boy abandoned when he was a baby in front of a Roman Church, and Dolores, the daughter of a common-born inner keeper, are two young pickockets who discover a precious moment of love... before they are cruelly torn apart by circumstances and fate. Francisco grows up to be a brooding handsome knight, fighting desperately to regain the inheritance and birth right that was taken from him. Flamed haired and fiery souled Dolores, became the darling of Queen Isabella's sensuous court, desired and sought after. Years after their brief moment of passion, they meet again in their new surroundings--both no longer the young pickpockets that they were, each with new identities and new ambitions. And yet, try as they might, neither could deny the passion they shared so long ago... Within the besieged walls of Grandada, the last of the Moslem strongholds, destiny would give Francho and Dolores one last chance to put aside conflicts of heart and ambitions, and embrace love once again.

This extraordinary love story was beautifully written, Ms. Hart effectively lures us into a sumputous world of romance and adventure. From the acclaims on the book, Judith McNaught (author of Whitney My Love), Johanna Lindsy, Rebecca Brandewyne, and Jude Derveraux all agree that Jasmine On the Wind is "an unforgettable story of epic porportions, reviting from beginning to end!"

"Unforgettable . . . Brilliant in its dazzling and authentic detail . . .I didn't want to put it down." ~~~ JUDITH McNAUGHT, author of 'Whitney, My Love' ~~~

In this historical romance set in the Spain of Ferdinand and Isabella, teenagers Dolores and Francho are a pair of enterprising and ambitious pickpockets. But Francho reaches too far when he attempts to steal the wallet of the Count of Tendilla. Once captured, however, he learns that he is the missing heir to the estate of Tendilla's friend, the Marquis de Olivenza. Presented at the royal court, Francho meets Dolores, now the Baroness de la Rocha and companion of the powerful Duke of Medina-Sidonia. Although Francho is in love with another noblewoman, he and Dolores still are attracted to one another. As this novel progresses, fate throws the two together again and again, in a robber's mountain lair in Seville, in the Moorish stronghold of Granada, where Francho is now spying for Spain and Dolores is a member of the harem. Hart has created a tale of stubborn spirits, passion and friendship, set against the rich tapestry of one of Spain's most glittering periods.
