I've read other accounts of this action, but this is the most detailed I've read. The author lets you know when the planners make a mistake, often due to lack of resources or, worse, not allowing individual leaders to take the initiative when it became obvious the plan wasn't working.

The raid was still successful, but with more casualties than probably necessary. Still, it proves Churchill was right when he stated this was Britain in its "finest hour."
