Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a jelly roll pan with waxed paper. Mix together the popcorn and peanuts in a large bowl (peanuts are optional). Set this aside.
Heat butter and syrup in a small pan on low heat until butter is melted. Add the sugar and jello. Stir until the jello is dissolved. Bring to a boil on medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over the popcorn and peanuts and mix together to coat well. Spread evenly onto the waxed paper in your pan.
Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completley. Break it up into small pieces and package in air-tight container or bags.
I really like the strawberry and cherry. Blue raspberry was good too. I disliked the lime, but I wanted green to make it for Christmas. Next I want to try orange for halloween and I even want to stir in some gummy halloween candies with it. But experiment. If you like the flavor of jello you are using, chances are you will like it on the popcorn too.
