The artwork starts out great with our original artist. Then..BOOM..big change and not the kind Synergy would have approved of or even created. We go from a wonderful array of artwork to scribbles. I'm not even joking. It looks horrible. Granted, each artist has their own talent, but there is a time and a place for that talent. Taking the artwork from Disney style to PBS kids special featuring a scribble..No. Not okay. They didn't even have hardly any facial expressions and the artwork was literally a mess. This being a graphic novel, I want GOOD artwork and rich artwork. Not this mess. Plus Riot, what the heck happened there? He looks more like a girl than a manly macho man like in the cartoon series. In some of the artwork I couldn't even tell he was a guy! They also messed with Raya's story line. I love the reboot I really do, and it has a ton of potential, but two things you shouldn't overly mess with, the beautiful artwork, and the original story lines. We grew up with those story lines. You want to tweak it some, go right ahead, but to totally take it out of left field? No.
