This was a pretty good book, considering I don't usually like short stories! :)
For one, the foreword by the author was pretty neat. I like when authors talk about books and stories that influenced them!
Each one of the stories in this book was unique from the next, and for some of them, I mean UNIQUE in the complete 180 sense. I was surprised! I am now eager to read this author's other work.
My favorite story was the first one, Faith and Hope Go Shopping. Whenever I read stories about the elderly's thoughts I have to check myself when speaking to them, just to ensure I am not making offensive comments. I loved that story!

I'm a fan of Joanne Harris, so I was surprised to find that I didn't like any of the stories in this book.
They seem incomplete, more like personal exercises in writing.
I kept reading the next one hoping it will get better, it didn't.
