Well, I made it through his Harvard graduation, but really, there was too much pedantic letter writing, guilt, and misery for me to stay interested. I had sympathy for him before, since he was the son of his father, but he was waaay too much like his father. I'm going back to reading Jackie Collins and Kenny Stabler.

It covers his private life more than his public life. It got tedious after a while, his self described sins were always the same, he was rarely happy, even at the time of his marriage. I trudged through until 1820.
