If you love a real life murder mystery, look no further. I originally bought the book because I needed to find a non-fiction travel memoir for a class, and this one does have a cross-country journey in the story. But, the story turned out to be so much more than that. It was simply riveting.

This was a good book. It was well-written and told the story of two best friends who take a road trip and what happened to them. It flagged a little toward the end, but all in all well worth reading.

This was a fast read & pretty interesting. I walked away having to draw my own conclusions which you usually don't get to do with true crime stories.

Lays out the case letting the reader make their own conclusions. Read it for bookclub and I am very sure we will have quite the interesting discussion!

Great read & thought provoking. When we are positive of "what we would do" in these circumstances, we find out that we may not have all the info needed when trying to survive under these circumstances. The author adds a little too much location history for me...but the story is dynamite..

Just a true story about two very good friends who decided to travel across the country. The also decided to stop at this desert park, parked their car in the parking place and proceeded to follow the trail and find a place to camp. The trail was well marked, but when it came time to find their way out, they got lost. An excellent book and written so well. It will hold your interest throughout. I loved it.
