I often think of my childhood and long to be there again, back when life was simpler, and family was everything. My father and mother were the potters that molded each and every one of their nine children to be the best person they could be.Of all my successes, the one that I am proudest of are the wonderful men I raised, my three sons Donny, John, and Billy. They are the lights of my life, I was also blessed with six beautiful grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Elizabeth, Joshua, Adam and Casey.I would be nothing without my Lord! He had my life planned out for me before I was born and I thank Him every day for His blessings. During the storms of life I received many battle scars. However, each scar has made me stronger and a better person. I started writing my book when my son John passed away on October 6, 2002. Writing has been great therapy and a blessing for me. After John went to his Heavenly home, to honor and keep his love of giving and helping people alive his family has opened an outreach center in John's memory. It is called "John's Place" John's place is a non profit organization and depends solely on donations. We help with transportation to doctors appointments, grocery store, and help with medications when funds are available. We help locate resources and services in the community. We will keep John's Place open as long as possible as John would have wanted us to. God told me "I will never leave you, or forsake you" and He has kept His promise.« less
