This author has a way with a story! She tells extra information about the time period, the place and the events of the time in a very skillful way. Everything is woven together smoothly. This story is appealing to anyone from elementary aged kids to adults. If you ever even liked Curious George, you will enjoy this book. Gives info on the Reys as well as WWll, Europe and Brazil.

Definitely a story for all ages, a precocious 3rd grader would enjoy reading it on his or her own.
