This boy has passed away but when he was alive he had a heart full of love and heartsongs. He appeared on Oprah and really touched many hearts.

Carter Stepanek is a talented young poet and author. He suffers from a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. His writings reflect a courage about love and loss, life and death, innocence and joy, faith and hope....

Very moving, quite an inspiration!

Call me a heathen, but I could never really get into poetry. Written by a child with a rare form of muscular dystrophy (I believe he has died since the book was published), the blurb says: "Mattie writes movingly and courageously about life and death, love and loss, faith and hope, innocence and joy."
