Julie was inspired by Catherine Marshall,s own life. Its is set a small town in Pennsylvania. Set during the depression and the begining of the labor movement. It shows what can happen when there is corropt power. I like that alot of the book themes where still relevant today. Julie going from teenager to a young woman. Seeing her father struggle w/his faith. Her own strugles with God. It was a story that I wanted to keep on going.
