Terrific book. A "smart, heartwarming story of timeless love and family loyalty". Really a jewel as the 60+ recently connected and not yet married couple deals with a Willie Wonka/lottery obsessed eight year old granddaughter, a 40 year old pregant-with-triplets daughter, numerous other family & friends, no privacy and an aching back.

In Julie and Romeo Get Lucky, all Julie and Romeo really want is a quiet house. Instead they get a back injury and more people moving in. Julie's granddaughter has everyone buying lottery tickets. Between the constant playing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the many people in her house, will Julie and Romeo get lucky and find time alone?

This is the second book in this series.

Julie and Romeo are an elderly couple, who both design flowers, and who are both madly in love. Romeo tries to carry Julie up the stairs and puts his back out. He is confined to bed in Julie's room. Meanwhile Julie's daughter and her children are already living with her. Julie's other daughter Nora hurts herself, is confined to bed, and insists her mother can take better care of her than her husband can. She has her husband move her, her bed and all the things she thinks she needs into Julie's living room. Romeo's children and his 93 year old mother normally live with him, and they want him back. Then Julie's grand daughter wins the lottery and things really get out of control! I found this book funny and refreshingly unique. Was this review helpful?

The sequel to "Julie and Romeo", this book is just as humorous and was very easy for me to relate to.

Nice follow-up to the original, "Julie and Romeo," in which someone in the family wins the lottery, and Romeo is bed-ridden. Lots of conflicts, happy ending.

This book is the continuation of Romeo and Julie. The themes of luck, family, and personal space/time are carried well through this book.A very quick read with an uplifting story.I cannot imagine the amount of family members under one roof that Julie must provide care and attention. I can't wait for the next installment of this family's story.

This is a cute story that entertained me quite well while I was driving to and from work. The "romance" is really minimal. The descriptions of family life are the center of the story.
I gave this story 4 stars because it entertained me and I liked how it ended (not abruptly).
