Junie B. Jones Is Not a Crook (Junie B. Jones, Bk 9)
Junie B Jones Is Not a Crook - Junie B. Jones, Bk 9 Author:Barbara Park, Denise Brunkus (Illustrator) A terrible thing happened to Junie B. Jones! And it's called -- someone took her new black furry mittens! And they kept them! They didn't even put them in the Lost and Found at school. So when Junie B. finds a wonderful pen on the floor, she should be allowed to keep it, too. Right? That's fair. Right? Right?

This book is the nineth in the Junie B. Jones Series. Between all of her mispronunciations, mischievousness, and jumping to conclusions Junie B. Jones is a hilariously energetic and wild kindergartener with a knack for getting in trouble. This book is one my favorites in this series, it is as interesting as Junie B. Jones herself.
Great book for elementary aged children who are starting to read chapter books for the first time. Junie B. Jones books are so funny--funny enough that I actually enjoyed hearing my daughter read this out loud to me. We read the whole series together and could not wait to hear what Junie would get into next. They kind of remind me of the Ramona series that we read back when I was a child. Great for a 1st-3rd grader.
I usually read the Junie B books to my son, but my husband read this one, it was his first Junie B book he's read. No book will ever be as funny as "Monkey Business" but my son enjoyed this one as well. I got this book since our library was missing this one sequentually.
Although this series of books is VERY popular, I am not a big fan of the Junie B Jones books. They are written in conversational English and not proper English so, in my opinion, not the best books for kids who are learning to read and write. The charachter Junie is interesting but the sentence structures used in the book are horrid, incorrect and downright got on my last nerve!
