Hello!

I am trying to cross over into the mystery/thriller genre and would like to know what ya'll think about these authors.  Is there any particular book you recommend to start off with?  I love Lisa Jackson and have now completed my series, with the exception of Lost Souls which comes out in 2008  *sniff* *sniff*

I love series and am one of those people who has to have the entire series first  lol  I know, hubby says I'm neurotic  lol

Thus far I have read some really great books by:  Karen Harper, Kat Martin, Heather Graham, Kate Wilhelm, Wendy COrsi Staub (love her!!!) and a few by Mary Higgins Clark .,.  John Saul is okay...

I just discovered Karin Slaughter this year and am really enjoying her books.   They move fast and have a lot of suspense and I care about the characters.  I am not sure which one to recommend first but the you can find out the order of the series at "StopYourKillingMe.com"   I think that's the site.

Karin Slaugter is wonderful, but she can be a bit dark.  I think her whole series in great!!  I haven't read the other authors you mentioned.

The Prey series by John Sandford is also VERY good.  Stuart Woods' Stone Barrington series is light and a quick read, but funny and suspenseful at the same time.  Iris Johansen is also good, suspense with a bit of romance.  Some other favorites are Greg Iles, Jeffery Deaver, JA Jance and Perri O'Shaunessey.  I don't think I spelled the last one right...

I, too, have recently read all of Karin Slaughter's book, except the newly released Beyond Reach. I have that one on reserve at the library. The crimes committed in Slaughter's books are often shocking. Makes one wonder how an author can come up with such unique, disturbing wrongdoings....
