I just finished Pillars of the Earth and absolutely loved it! Definitely one of a couple 5 star books I've read this year. I'm finding that I quite enjoy historical fiction but I'm wondering if any of his other books are just as good. I realize they are a totally different genre and  I seem to come across alot of them in my bargain book stores but I normally just pass them by. So has anyone read any of his thriller books and are there any particular ones that you considered excellent, "couldn't put it down" type books?

Hey girlie,

The Third Twin was really good. I read that a few years ago which is how I found him.

His earliest books are the best, things like The Key to Rebecca and The Man from St Petersburg. His more recent spy stuff has lacked the edge he used to have.

I read Follett's early books many, many years ago.   But I remember a scene from "Eye of the Needle" that still gives me chills.   I would definitely recommend it, as well as Key to Rebecca.

I did enjoy Pillars of the Earth and I have his latest on my TBR stack.
