Kicking Dogs
Author: Collin Piprell
Jack Shackaway, freelance journalist and pornographer, has no idea who is trying to kill him. Given his talent for annoying the wrong people, in fact, it could be just about anybody. An antic portrait of modern Bangkok, Kicking Dogs is at the same time a comic thriller-one that moves ever faster as the story unfolds.

For fans of John Burdett's Bangkok 8, or mystery fans who enjoy exotic locales, seedy locals and even seedier detectives. Jack Shackaway, journalist and burgeoning pornographer is finding life in 1990's era Bangkok even worse then usual with his girlfriend's family encroaching more and more on his apartment, being mugged at gunpoint, then sharing in drinking contests with his assailants, and finally someone is working quite hard at making him dead. Interesting and funny, with a aura of sudden violence present on every page.
