I ordered National Geographic for kids and Discover Kids. Are there any other magazines you use/recommend?

The only magazine we get for the kids is the silly Nick one, and that's just because we got a free subscription. I do like the two you mentioned, though, as well as Highlights.

We also use Big Backyard and Ranger Rick.  They have great pictures of the animals.

I highly recommend Kids Discover, so yeah, you, you already subscribed!  :-)

My son (9) and I don't like Nat'l Geo Kids - too many ads and "fluff".  I do the educator's subscription price of $12 for the real National Geographic.

We like Highlights, too, but we get out of circulation copies at the library for 10 cents each (and other mags).

My son LOVES Odyssey, but it's really expensive, so he just checks it out at the library.

We like Ranger Rick too and Big Back Yard.

I used to get the Cricket mag years ago. I don't even know if its still out.

World Magazine has kids mags too. They are more like newspaper copy though, but in color.
