This second installment was a true wild ride on through the streets of LasVegas. Maddie is constantly having run-ins with the police, her boyfriend goes undercover in a drag club, Lots of guns pointed in her face, Maddie herself goes undercover in drag, a little puppy gets stunned with a stun-gun, her best friend turns into a gambling addict, all while trying to undercover her dad's conncetion to the shoe mob, and solving the death of a naked suicidal drag queen jumper!
Maddie is completely in over her head in this installment! Lots of non-stop action in the fabulous Las Vegas setting! I cant wait to read the next installment to find out whats going to happen with Maddie and the sexy LAPD cop Jack Ramirez.
This is a great book, satisfying and fun story. All the lose ends get tied up, and it all fit together nicely. Thumbs up for this one!

I just love Maddie. If you are looking for a mystery with a good plot but some laughter too, then Maddie is your girl. All aspects are covered in this one. Even the hot detective love interest. A great series. Very similar to Stephanie Plum and Sophie Metropolis.

Loved the first book and Book 2 did not disappoint me. Maddie is a thoroughly likable character. Good story with several "laugh out loud" moments.
Cute book. Continuing story with likable characters.
enjoyed reading about Maddie's latest trials and tribulations. She has a knack for finding trouble.
The 2nd in the Maddie Springer detective series. Loved getting to know her wild friends and family a bit more. But, I could do without the very in-depth description of Maddie getting dressed and eating fast food. Also, I really like this series but Maddie is a heck of a lot like Bubbles Yablonsky.

I have officially given up on this series. Cannot tolerate a heroine who is too stupid to live and I have no interest in a ditsy person whose eating habits at fast food restaurants take up a large percentage of the story...
