Don't be put off by the Fabio like cover. This story isn't as bad as the cover. This is my first Dara Joy book. Knight of a Trillion Stars is funny and romantic, but also quite predictable like many others in the genre. I couldn't relate much to this heroine. She's a modern very beautiful woman but her knowledge of intimate matters is quite Victorian. I found that kind of detail hard to get past. It's one thing if this book were set a hundred years ago, but Deana lives in the 21st century where, even if you haven't experienced it, you've seen much on TV or film. I don't much care for the plot device of the blushing virginal modern heroine who is stunningly good looking, but doesn't realize she's so beautiful and is completely naive about her body and a man's body. Please. People can learn about sexuality these days from watching prime time television programs! If the blushing virgin is in a historical novel, I can accept that. If she's in a Christian fiction book, I can accept that. However, when it appears in the contemporary romance genre, it's really strange. Ok, off my soap box now.

This book has a nice twist at the end that explains the first few pages and I very much enjoyed the character of Rejar, the half-brother so I look forward to the sequel. Overall this is an enjoyable book although there are better sci-fi romance books out there and I've read several of those.

This is one of my all time favorite futuristic books and one of my favorite books by Dara Joy. This is the first book in her excellent Matrix of Destiny series. A not-to-be-missed read!

Amazon.com Editorial Review:
If you get embarrassed easily, you'd better not read Knight of a Trillion Stars in a public place because you'll find yourself squealing with laughter. Deana Jones has had one of those days: she's just been fired, sat in something horrible on the train, can't get her car out of commuter gridlock, and has been soaked in a rainstorm. When she finally drips home, the strange alien waiting on her couch seems almost normal. Lorgan ta'al Krue claims he has been sent on a quest to sort out the cause of some mysterious time and space rifts. Because he is convinced that Deana is connected to them, he follows her to a science fiction convention. (The perfect date with an alien!) When Lorgan realizes the problems are originating on another planet, he whisks Deana with him, and she finds that although Lorgan may be her soul mate, he and his otherworldly ways take some getting used to. Don't miss the sequel, Rejar, which features Lorgan's sexy shape-changing brother.

Not as good as some of her other books, but still a unique story.

An adorable couple, an astounding literary universe, an exciting adventure, and some quirky secondary characters make for quite the lure into the series. This was the first book by Dara Joy I read years ago (borrowed from a friend) and was always sad that I couldn't find it again until PaperbackSwap. I've always been happy with this author, and I'm no easy sell. It's great for a laugh, and some heartwarming moments for the couple. You have to continue on and read Lorgin's brother's story ("Rejar", of course, as though he'd allow his book to be named anything else).

Really cute...can you imagine getting fired and when you get home there is and alien in your living room.

The alien is named Lorgin and claims Deana Jones is his celestial destiny. Deana thinks he is making a mistake of cosmic proportions. But his touch is electric, his arms strong, and when she felt his sizzling desire, Deana begins to believe their passion is written in the stars.

Lavendar sparks inside the irises of his aroused eyes, Dara Joy was one of my favorite authors because of this wonderful series of books. The women are all sassy as heck and the sexual tension is wonderful. This author has kind of gone out of business, so it's hard to find her books, they are the bomb!

I loved this book -- I'd love to see Dara finish writing books on the characters.
