Wow! Not everyday you come across a book like this. I have read a lot of Susan May Warren's other books and enjoyed them, but this one is definitely my favorite! It connects to the other Deep Haven series and was a wonderful addition.

This book opens with a great start and just picks up speed as you go along. I quickly fell in love with Annalise and her struggles of living a double life. You often think of the neat exciting aspects of going into the Witness Protection Program but you normally don't realize the hardships and difficulties that also go into this. Leaving everything you have ever known, your family, friends, school, etc. It is like you are totally starting your life over, but not from the beginning. Her husband, Nathan was a great guy and I liked him from the start. Susan runs you through so many different emotions while reading this book. There is some suspense and more than enough doubt and fears. You feel like you know Annalise personally and her struggles become yours. Excellent book!!

I received a copy of this book as a part of the Litfuse Blog Tour. I did not receive any monetary compensation. All thoughts are 100% mine.

I can honestly say that I have never read a book about someone in the Witness Protection Program and to take the viewpoint of both the member in the program and the family members they leave behind is smart and unique. As the reader, I felt that Annalise's actions and feelings were true to someone who was trying to start anew and wanting to leave her past in the past. Unfortunately for her, her past gets out of jail and wants to seek revenge.

It's not everyday when you come across an author as talented as Susan May Warren. With her 4th Deep Haven novel, My Foolish Heart she grabbed my attention and with her stellar historical romance, Heiress she earned her place on my must read list! This latest contemporary romance in the Deep Haven series entitled You Don't Know Me has proven that this lady has staying power when it comes to variety and new themes in Christian fiction.

You Don't Know Me has us back in Deep Haven following yet another one of its finest families. The Deckers seemingly have it all, great kids, a home and Nathan Decker is even a shoe in for mayor. Annalise Decker however had a great big secret that although it's 20 years old is bound to catch up to her. With the appearance of her "Uncle" in Deep Haven she's sure that her life is going to fall to pieces and potentially her entire family's lives could be at risk. She has to decide whether to let everything out to her husband about her past life and risk losing him or leave to protect her family and lose everything she's worked so hard for.

You Don't Know Me has everything I look for in a book, great characters, unpredictable twists and turns and a happy ending. I was a little worried at first that I wouldn't like Annalise for keeping so many secrets, especially from her husband but I could see her reasoning behind it and her fear. The other relationships portrayed in this book between Annalise and her children were definitely authentic and I liked that even though they seemed like a calm, cool, and collected family on the surface they all had their issues that mirror a lot of families today. Also, I know that this wasn't labeled as a suspense novel but it definitely had that feel from the first page. If you're thinking of shying away from this book strictly because it's a mushy romance, don't do it because you'll be missing out. I think that even some of the guys out there will like this one! If you're into a good suspense novel or books that examine family issues check this book out. If you haven't read other Deep Haven novels each stands alone so you don't have to worry about confusion or major spoilers if you decide to read this first.
