Eric B Hare was born in Melbourne Australia in 1894.He wanted to be a Missionary to a foreign land as a small child in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Eric has an exciting life. He goes to college to be a Minister and a Registered Nurse. He marries Agnes Fuller and they go to serve the devil worshiping Karen people in Burma, then a British Colony. They have many "Hare Raising" experiences. The Karen people learn to trust DR Rabbit as they call him. Many become Christians and learn of God's great love for them through DR Rabbit's ministering to their physical needs. The many converts go as teachers and ministers to the many Karen people. When World War 2 begins the Japanese start bombing and invading Burma.Dr Rabbit evacuates his family and many others. He serves as a volunteer ambulance driver with many others in his church for the general population. He barely gets out of Burma into India as the Japanese invade. His afamily and he go to teh United States and become citizens DR Rabbit works an administrator in his church and writes many books about Burma, a few examples are Dr.Rabbit, The Haunted Pagoda, and Clever Queen. He is always volunteering to tell Children and adults of his experiences in Burma. When he moves to Washington, DC he personally connects with the many Karen People who live there. Right before he died, Dr Rabbit's son finds him is his room Pin his pajamas packing his suitcases, Bible, and trumpet. His son Leonard says "Where are you going Dad?". DR Rabbit says to go serve the Karen people in Burma. That is where Dr Rabbit's Heart was. DR Rabbit's life was a life of selfless service to those who needed him.
