Has anyone else noticed this?  Almost any time I want a Catholic book, I end up having to WL it because it's not available.  Do we have tons of Catholics, or very few?  Just wondering.....

Kerrie, I am not Catholic but from time to time my neighbor gives me some books to post. The Catholic ones don't seem to move much here and I eventually take them to our local thrift store. I have one by Joseph Cardinal Bernardin called THE GIFT OF PEACE and a storybook for children explaining confession to them. If you are interested in either one let me know and I will post them , they are in the bag I have ready to take to the thrift shop this week.

Yes please!  The confession one would especially be helpful, I'm teaching level two CCD this year, and they'll all be going to confession for the first time! Let me know when they're posted, and I'll place an order. :)Would you consider doing a 2 for 1 on them?

Kerrie, I just posted THE GIFT OF PEACE. If you order that or any other book from my shelf, I will send you the confession book for free. Thanks.

Kerri,    I have 2 on my bookshelf - fiction by the same author - that are written with a Catholic perspective. They are: Conceived Without Sin and Pierced by a Sword, both by Bud MacFarlane. Take a look at them.    M'ann

Thanks so much Diane, I just ordered it. :)

Margaret, thanks for your post.  I've actually read all three in that series, they're wonderful! :)

I am a brand new member, so I'm not sure if this letter will  actually post. Hope I'm doing this correctly..learning as I go;)

I also searched for Catholic books and found only one (St. John of the Cross). I wonder if Catholics just don't think of posting books on their faith. It makes me think of looking at my bookshelf here and seeing if there are any I would like  to share.

I also suspect that perhaps Catholics don't really want to let go of their books. I know I often refer to them, and like to keep many for reference, of to just read again for inspiration.

After taking a closer look  at how to do a search, I found hundreds of Catholic books (some great; some not sogreat)  by using:

Religion & Spirituality---Christianity----Catholicism

Hope that helps.

Thought you'd be interested in the fact that today I posted 12 Catholic  books, and instantly 7 of them were requested through wish lists. This is a good sign that folks are seeking good Catholic literature, since my books were what would be considered very faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. I was very encouraged.
