I really enjoyed this one. I've always liked Jim Stackhouse from Emma and Meg's stories but this one he really shined. I also enjoyed watching Helen find her way on her own without having to be the youngest sibling or defined by past inhibitions. I've always been interested in India so it was wonderful reading about the colors, sounds, smells, so many things Helen discovers.

Particularly fun was having it be more focused on the male character falling in love and the female slowly realizing her feelings. It was a nice change. Also enjoyed Helen's descriptions of things colored by a musical perspective. I appreciated the message that differing cultures, religions, etc can peacefully coexist. That home is where loved ones are. Badmash was such a fun character and great addition to the story too. Really liked this one.
